A Adobe Case Study
Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Art and Design wanted to bring industry-grade tools into the classroom so students could learn by doing, tackle real-world problems, and collaborate across disciplines—from game development to healthcare wayfinding. The challenge was to give students hands-on experience that balanced production efficiency with creative freedom and prepared them for professional careers.
RIT introduced Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise—most notably Adobe XD—so students could rapidly prototype interfaces, iterate on feedback, and integrate work across Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. The result: faster modeling and review cycles, clearer communication between designers and engineers, more creative experimentation, and real-world outcomes like the game Fragile Equilibrium and the AR wayfinding project Wave, all of which better prepare students for industry work.
