A Adobe Case Study
Reader’s Digest, the long-established magazine with global reach and high brand awareness, faced the challenge of expanding its audience and advertising opportunities while producing multiple editions with a small team. The publisher needed a cost-effective, sustainable workflow that would let it leverage traditional print design skills to deliver rich, multi-platform digital editions.
By adopting Adobe Creative Suite together with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Reader’s Digest created content once and quickly repurposed it across iPad, Kindle, Nook, BlackBerry PlayBook and print editions. The iPad app and other digital editions added video, slideshows, interactive quizzes and high‑resolution photography, enabling monthly production of several editions with a small team, boosting reader engagement, broadening audience reach, and creating new advertising bundles like the “Digital Boost.”
