Prisa Revistas, the magazine division of Spain’s leading media group PRISA, set out to move its newsstand and branded-content titles into tablet publishing. Faced with slowing print sales and the need to incorporate new interactive formats, the publisher needed to train designers, adapt workflows, and offer tablet services to both readers and corporate clients.
Using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite with Adobe InDesign CS6, Prisa trained its existing design teams and launched iPad apps for the 2012 Madrid Guide, Cinemanía, and Rolling Stone featuring interactivity such as video trailers and in‑app purchases. The initiative generated more than 6,000 downloads of the Madrid Guide, opened new digital revenue and advertising opportunities, and positioned Prisa Revistas as a pioneer in tablet publishing.
