A Adobe Case Study
Police Digital Service worked with the National Police Chiefs Council to tackle a major redaction challenge across all 43 UK police forces, where officers spent too much time manually redacting sensitive case information before sending files to the Crown Prosecution Service. To address this, the organization turned to Adobe and Adobe Acrobat DC as a standard redaction tool for 90,000 officers and staff.
Adobe implemented Acrobat DC with secure redaction and granular access controls that met strict police security and compliance requirements. The result was faster, more consistent redaction and stronger data protection: average processing time dropped from 226 minutes to 131 minutes per case, saving more than 90 minutes each time and helping reduce paperwork backlogs.
