Pelco, a global designer and manufacturer of video security solutions based in Fresno with ~400 employees, faced slow campaign development, simplistic lead scoring, slow list creation and data parsing, and inadequate reporting from its legacy marketing software. The team needed to accelerate campaign execution, improve lead quantity and quality, and better demonstrate marketing’s contribution to sales.
Pelco replaced the old system with Marketo (deployed in about two weeks), using templates, cloning and advanced lead scoring to personalize messaging and prioritize high-value prospects. Results included nearly doubled email performance (opens 18.3%→27.0%, CTR 1.39%→3.5%), a 221% increase in MQLs in six months, marketing contribution to sales rising from ~25% to ~85%, and a 99.48% increase in marketing ROI (Marketo paid for itself ~30x).
