Preview of the Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) Case Study

Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) opens a world of possibilities for creative talent by developing an industry-relevant curriculum and providing client-based internship opportunities to help prepare tomorrow’s creative professionals

Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Interactive & Digital Media (SIDM) cultivates talent for animation, gaming, VFX and digital media, but faced the challenge of keeping its curriculum and training aligned with a fast-evolving creative industry. SIDM needed to equip students to work across multiple platforms, provide authentic client-based projects and internships, and maximize graduate employability and industry relevance.

SIDM adopted Adobe Creative Suite (CS6) and volume licensing to embed industry-standard tools across coursework and real-world projects, enabling smooth workflows between Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere and more. The result was higher digital literacy and student satisfaction, more than 90% graduate employability, placements and further-study admissions at top studios and institutions, and several high-profile projects (including Singapore’s National Day Parade) that boosted the school’s reputation.
