A Adobe Case Study
Massachusetts Vocational Technical Education (VTE) schools, guided by the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and educators on curriculum framework committees, faced the challenge of standardizing vocational design and visual communications training statewide and preparing students with professional‑level digital communications skills that match workplace expectations—while also increasing enrollment and opening clear career and post‑secondary pathways.
The state adopted Adobe Creative Suite as the foundation of a project‑based DVC curriculum and teacher workshops, aligning classroom instruction with industry standards and certification (ACA) goals. As a result, enrollment nearly tripled, more than 95% of graduates move on to college or career opportunities, programs earned awards and additional funding (about $150,000), and students now graduate with marketable, professional‑level skills in design, animation, photography, video, and web.
