Manulife, the Toronto-based financial services company with 40,000 employees, needed a better intranet to improve employee engagement, deliver accessible information, and support retention and customer service. Its legacy homegrown MFCentral platform was difficult to update, lacked personalization, and required developers for content changes. Manulife turned to Adobe, using Adobe Experience Manager Sites and related services, to create a more modern employee digital hub.
Adobe implemented Experience Manager Sites as a Cloud Service, with support from Adobe Professional Services and Adobe Ultimate Success, to rebuild the intranet using reusable templates and a connected design system. The new site gave employees role- and location-based access to news, benefits, policies, and resources, while improving accessibility to near 100% compliance and speeding site development by 50%. Manulife also saw a 25% increase in intranet visits, helping employees stay engaged and focus more on serving customers.
