Limbitless Solutions is a UCF‑born nonprofit (est. 2014) that builds low‑cost, personalized bionic arms for kids with limb differences. Facing high traditional prosthetic costs, social stigma, and the need for FDA approval and insurance coverage, the small core team of staff, faculty, and student interns set out to make empowering, affordable limbs available at no cost to families while completing clinical trials and raising funding.
Limbitless blends engineering, art, and gamified training—kids help design custom outer sleeves, and play training apps that speed adoption of the limb—to deliver solutions that boost confidence and STEAM learning. Preliminary clinical results show accelerated use with gamified training; visual storytelling and outreach have increased awareness and fundraising; and expansion plans (including a new lab to scale production up to 10x) will help move the program toward FDA clearance and broader insurance access.
