Lakeland, a U.K. home-shopping pioneer with nearly 50 years of catalog, retail and online experience, wanted to modernize its marketing mix and attract a younger, tech‑savvy audience. The company’s challenge was to bring its catalogs to life in a cost‑effective way, acquire new customers, and enhance brand appeal without overhauling existing workflows.

Using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite together with Adobe Creative Suite, Lakeland developed a lifestyle iPad app featuring rich photography, video, audio, interactivity, seasonal editorial and social‑sharing links to ecommerce. The app was produced in six to eight weeks, drove many thousands of downloads, attracted new customers, increased engagement and social reach (Facebook fans now exceed 100,000), and reused print assets to boost digital ROI without significant extra cost.
