"K" Line Logistics enhances compliance and business efficiency with Adobe Acrobat DC

"K" Line Logistics, a Tokyo‑based integrated logistics company in the Kawasaki Kisen Group with 76 locations and over 1,600 employees, was facing rapidly increasing volumes of digital documents from international trade— invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and customs paperwork. With aging, scattered Acrobat licenses and only a few departments able to edit PDFs, the company needed to modernize workflows, centralize license management, boost productivity, and preserve document security and compliance while avoiding the risk of falsified documents.

They deployed Adobe Acrobat DC company‑wide, using a centralized license dashboard and single sign‑on plus role‑based restrictions (via the Adobe Customization Wizard), mandatory training and signed pledges to prevent tampering. The rollout enabled combining and OCR of PDFs, one‑step export to Excel, and page organization—resulting in streamlined license administration, enhanced compliance controls, greater efficiency across departments, easier data reuse, and improved document readability.
