A Adobe Case Study
Japanese Red Cross Medical Center in Tokyo, a leading hospital specializing in cancer, perinatal care and emergency/disaster treatment, struggled with inefficient document workflows: dozens of concurrent clinical trials produced frequently revised, large and mixed-format files (some up to 1,000 pages) that were hard to manage on the web server, and conference pre-registration was slow and manual via e-mail and fax.
The center adopted Adobe Acrobat—using PDF Portfolios to aggregate and reliably distribute mixed-format clinical-trial documents and fillable PDF forms for conference pre-registration. This eliminated download errors and manual tracking, made updates easier, enabled secure data capture and CSV export, reduced paper and administrative effort, and proved a high-ROI solution they plan to expand across the organization.
