How Wales brings digital literacy to every student in the country

Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, a secondary school in North Wales, wanted to bring more technology into the classroom while strengthening students’ Welsh language, culture, and digital literacy. Using Adobe Creative Cloud Express for Education, teachers needed a simple way to keep students engaged and spend more time on learning and communication rather than complex software.

Adobe supported the school and the wider Welsh education system by providing Creative Cloud Express in both English and Welsh, along with training and educational resources. The solution helped students create videos, posts, and presentations that looked professional and felt personal, boosting engagement, confidence, and cultural learning. Adobe’s partnership also extended access across Wales, giving over 500,000 students and teachers free access through Hwb and making Wales the first country to offer Creative Cloud Express to everyone in its education system.
