Rubik’s, the iconic maker of the world’s best‑selling puzzle founded in 1980, needed to modernize its direct‑to‑consumer channel and scale quickly for international growth. Their legacy ExpressionEngine store was inflexible and hard to manage, and with a tight deadline ahead of the holiday season they required a scalable, low‑admin solution to accelerate the brand experience across multiple touchpoints.

Working with Best Response Media, Rubik’s migrated to Adobe Commerce in a headless, cloud‑hosted architecture on AWS and launched in four months. The new site delivered sub‑one‑second load times, richer product content, express checkout (Braintree) with postcode lookup, and integrated warehouse, email and feed systems, plus easy multi‑country management. Results included +150% UK revenue in the first six months, +500% France YoY, a 20% drop in bounce rate, 30% lower cart abandonment, AOV rising from £12 to £17, and a doubled conversion rate.
