How Performance Health used Magento Commerce to exceed their B2B customers’ expectations

Performance Health, a Chicago-based leader in consumer healthcare serving rehab and sports medicine markets, struggled with a limiting home-grown e-commerce platform while selling to “power” B2B purchasers—professional buyers managing thousands of ship-to addresses, sprawling requisition lists, and many employees ordering on behalf of the same companies. They needed a flexible, scalable solution to meet complex B2B workflows and improve the buying experience for high-volume customers.

Between April 2017 and October 2018 Performance Health moved to Magento Commerce and added custom features—a cacheable mega-menu, enhanced search that returns configurable products with preselected options, configurable product views, Web Order Approval and include/exclude requisition lists, a high-volume address book, and integrations with NetSuite, Avalara, and OnBase. The changes drove stronger loyalty and fewer service issues and delivered a 53% increase in total orders, 15% growth in online revenue, and a 21% increase in new customers.
