Hewlett Packard - Customer Case Study

HP’s Global Experience Design team set out to modernize the HP Smart mobile app—letting users wirelessly print, scan, and manage devices from phones—while tackling fragmented prototyping tools, inconsistent iconography across apps, and difficulty finding imagery that clearly conveys function. The challenge was to create a more consumer-friendly, tile-based interface and establish a consistent, collaborative design process across global teams.

Using Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise (Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD, Creative Cloud Libraries, and Adobe Stock), the team consolidated prototyping into XD, shared a universal icon library, and sourced imagery that matched user content and themes. The result was a more engaging, personalized tile UI, faster iteration via shareable XD prototypes, easier cross-team collaboration, and consistent visual language across HP apps.
