France Télévisions, France’s national public broadcaster, launched PLUZZ VAD to offer 5,000+ premium VOD titles across devices. The challenge was to reach viewers on any screen, protect and monetize studio‑grade content with DRM approval from top suppliers, and keep the purchase and playback experience simple (avoiding complex downloads or installs).

Partnering with Vualto and Hubee, France Télévisions chose Adobe Access with Adobe AIR, Flash Player and the Open Source Media Framework to build HDS streaming, online and offline players, a download manager, and late‑binding audio. The result was a single, easy‑to‑manage DRM platform that secured content and studio approval, reached over one billion desktops without extra installs, and established a scalable, multi‑screen monetization platform ready for mobile expansion.
