Case Study: London Live achieves fast, mobile, broadcast-ready SD and HD workflows with Adobe Creative Cloud

A Adobe Case Study

Preview of the London Live Case Study

First new U.K. television station in 13 years produces programs for London audiences using Adobe Creative Cloud

London Live is a 24/7 hyper-local TV station launched in 2014 to serve London and 33 surrounding boroughs. Given an Ofcom L‑DTPS licence, the team had just seven months to build a broadcast infrastructure from scratch and faced tight requirements to produce fast, mobile-first local news and entertainment while supporting SD broadcast and HD digital distribution and integrating with existing newsroom systems.

The station deployed Adobe Creative Cloud—primarily Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Media Encoder—to enable multiformat editing on 13-inch MacBooks in the field and iMacs in the studio. This workflow delivers SD for air and HD for online, allows direct playout from field timelines via IP, avoids transcoding across formats, speeds turnaround and re‑cuts, and provides a reliable, compliant production and failover solution.
