Prague-based studio Falanxia created Spaced Away, an award-winning puzzle game that combines strategy and physics gameplay. The challenge was to deliver a visually rich experience across web and mobile (iOS and Android) quickly and without rewriting the game in separate native code for each platform, while expanding the audience beyond browsers.

Falanxia used Adobe Gaming technologies—Flash Player for the web and Adobe AIR with Native Extensions plus Stage3D and the Starling framework—to build from a common codebase, enable hardware-accelerated graphics, and port rapidly to mobile. The approach cut development time (first version built in under two months), earned industry recognition (FWA Mobile of the Day, Webby Mobile Honoree, Kotaku App of the Day), and let the team release Spaced Away in seven languages across the iTunes App Store, Amazon Appstore, and Google Play, reaching many more players.
