Editora Globo, printed publications come to life on mobile devices

Editora Globo, part of Brazil’s Organizações Globo and publisher of titles such as ÉPOCA, GQ and Vogue, set out to bring its printed magazines into the digital age. The company needed an easy-to-use, high‑technology solution that would let it publish all titles on a single platform, deliver rich interactive editions across tablets and smartphones, and maintain a strong, modern relationship with readers.

Editora Globo adopted Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, beginning implementation in 2010 and migrating all titles starting in May 2013; today 18 magazines and 17 apps are produced on DPS. The switch pioneered digital publishing in Brazil, modernized content with multimedia interactivity, simplified and reduced production costs, and expanded availability to smartphones, substantially improving the reader experience.
