A Adobe Case Study
The University of Arizona, a large public research university with extensive online programs, needed to replace a Java-based web conferencing system that was hard to deploy for students. The school sought a synchronous virtual classroom that supported active and small-group learning, complied with accessibility regulations, worked on mobile devices, integrated with its LMS, and could scale for thousands of users.
UA implemented Adobe Connect with eSyncTraining’s LTI integration, single sign-on and real-time closed captioning, plus breakout rooms and mobile apps to create customizable virtual classrooms. With 500 concurrent-user licenses (and two seminar rooms), more than 30,000 users logged in within 15 months, over 3,000 hosts built more than 6,000 meeting rooms, improving accessibility, enabling creative teaching, and extending use to administration and research.
