A Adobe Case Study
Chicago Public Schools’ Digital Media Career and Technical Education (CTE) program helps high school students build academic, technical, and creative skills to succeed in college and careers. The district’s challenge was to engage students in focused, career‑oriented study, unlock creative potential across curricula, and maintain industry relationships that provide current tools and cooperative work opportunities.
CPS answered with a rigorous three‑year CTE pathway centered on Adobe Creative Suite, cross‑curricular projects, industry internships, ACA certification, and portfolio development. Results include 247 Adobe Certified Associate credentials in three years, roughly 300 program graduates annually with a virtually non‑existent dropout rate, CTE college enrollments more than 3% higher than other programs, and expanded internship and work‑based learning opportunities.
