Cats Protection places cats in homes faster, with speedy, contact-free adoptions using Adobe Sign

Cats Protection, the UK’s largest feline welfare charity, needed to keep adoptions moving during the pandemic while its centers were closed to the public. It wanted a faster, safer, more contact-free way to complete adoption paperwork and match cats with the right families, and turned to Adobe Sign as part of its “Hands-Free Homing” process.

With help from Adobe and partner Phoenix Software, Cats Protection rolled out Adobe Sign to 37 adoption centers in five months, moving adoption documents online and enabling e-signatures for staff, volunteers, and adopters. The result was a dramatic drop in paperwork time from two weeks to just 2.5 hours, more than 9,000 cats placed in homes in the first 10 months of 2020, and over 5,000 adoptions handled through the new process, while also reducing returns, paper use, and administrative burden.
