Bonnier launches four digital newspapers for iPad using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite Enterprise Edition

Bonnier AB, the Stockholm-based multichannel media company founded in 1804, launched News+ to monetize digital content and attract both readers and premium advertisers. Facing the challenge of converting print workflows into profitable tablet editions, Bonnier used Adobe Digital Publishing Suite Enterprise Edition to create iPad newspapers including DN+, Sydsvenskan+, Di+ and Børsen, with plans for Android delivery.

By integrating Adobe InDesign, Bonnier’s NewsPilot editorial system and Adobe DPS, the company repurposed print pages for tablet apps, enabled in‑app sales via Direct Entitlement and a custom HTML storefront, and planned deeper analytics with Adobe Digital Marketing Suite. The rollout (DN+ in 12 weeks) drove strong advertiser demand (ads sold before launch), longer ad engagement than web banners, rising readership and revenues, a 10–15% trial buy‑through rate, and a roughly 50/50 split of new and existing tablet subscribers.
