A Adobe Case Study
Globaloria, created by the World Wide Workshop, is a K–12 learning network that teaches STEM and computing through student-led game design and programming using Adobe Flash Professional and other Adobe Creative Suite tools. The program set out to make STEM learning more relevant and engaging for middle and high school students while infusing innovation into classrooms and empowering teachers with a sustainable, project-based curriculum.
Globaloria delivers a flexible, scalable curriculum that guides students from concept to published eLearning games—teaching design, Adobe ActionScript coding, and teamwork while integrating Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks assets. The program has engaged more than 7,000 students in seven states (and programs in 20 countries), achieved near 90% course completion, 85% educator retention year-over-year, and produced measurable gains in math, reading, digital literacy and sustained teacher professional development.
