A Adobe Case Study
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is working to become the “university of the future” by better preparing students for a rapidly changing job market. As an Adobe Creative Campus, VCU wanted to close the gap between career requirements and classroom learning by building digital literacy, creative communication, and cross-disciplinary skills across its programs, with Adobe Creative Cloud available to students, faculty, and staff.
Adobe implemented Creative Cloud across VCU, including tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign, and Portfolio, to support coursework, prototyping, portfolios, and collaboration through the da Vinci Center and Shift Retail Lab. The impact has been stronger experiential learning and new career pathways for students: for example, students used Adobe tools to build portfolios, prototype designs, and secure internships and jobs in UX design, while VCU expanded innovation and collaboration across disciplines.
