A Adobe Case Study
SalonCentric, a L’Oréal subsidiary founded in 2008 with 2,000+ employees, needed a customizable B2B eCommerce platform to support its 90+ independently owned State|RDA stores and traveling sales reps. The company faced complex requirements — store-specific storefronts, over 100 unique pricing structures, multiple inventory sources, varied tax rules, rural customers with unreliable internet, and a desire to scale without exponentially rising platform costs.
Working with Rightpoint, SalonCentric replatformed to Adobe Commerce (Magento Commerce Cloud) and deployed customizations such as multi-inventory sourcing, sales-rep ordering, a custom credit-card API, and integrations with Zendesk and SIMS ERP. The solution runs 55 stores so far (scalable to 200 on a single instance), supports 100+ pricing structures, manages 15,000 SKUs across 90 inventory sources, and trained 180+ store admins to create and maintain unique storefronts — strengthening rep–customer relationships and enabling future initiatives like loyalty and branded credit programs.
