Amazon Web Services (AWS) needed to rapidly rethink its B2B marketing and event strategy when COVID-19 halted in-person conferences and customer meetings. To keep engaging customers at scale, AWS turned to Adobe Experience Cloud, using Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Marketo Engage to create a more personalized digital journey for its major re:Invent event and other marketing programs.
With Adobe, AWS built a connected virtual experience that blended content, registration, email, paid media, and sales follow-up across channels. The 2020 virtual re:Invent expanded attendance to more than 300,000 people, and AWS reported stronger customer engagement and a more cohesive online journey that will support future hybrid events.
