A Adobe Case Study
Seattle public radio station KEXP, known for intimate in-studio performances and a popular YouTube channel, needed a more efficient way to produce high-quality video and audio from multiple camera sources. The station faced challenges syncing and color-correcting mixed native camera formats, stabilizing handheld footage, adding titles, and reliably cleaning up daily audio for DJs and podcasts.
KEXP adopted Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium—primarily Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and Adobe Audition CS6—using features like the Multi‑Camera Monitor, tapeless DSLR support, Mercury Playback Engine, Warp Stabilizer, and Audition’s clip grouping and gain envelope. The switch streamlined multicam editing and audio workflows, proved rock‑solid in daily use, enabled faster real‑time editing and consistent levels, supported a small editing team (plus volunteers), and helped grow KEXP’s online presence (nearly 58 million YouTube views).
