Adobe collaborates with television network to bring new levels of efficiency to screenwriting and scheduling with Adobe Story Plus

ITV, the UK’s largest commercial television network and producer of fast-turnaround serials like Coronation Street and Emmerdale, struggled with an aging in‑house system that couldn’t keep up with the intense scheduling, revision and collaboration demands of multi-episode production blocks. The network needed a way to unite scriptwriting and scheduling, reduce manual errors, and enable a more efficient, collaborative workflow across distributed teams.

Working with Adobe, ITV helped develop Adobe Story Plus — a hosted, browser-based tool that links script drafts to production schedules, provides granular user roles and sync controls, camera scripting, and reporting. The solution eliminated manual schedule work, flagged conflicts early (for example double-booked actors), sped revision cycles, and improved collaboration; as a result ITV met pre‑production demands for daily dramas, reduced scheduling errors and saved time and costs while enabling more creative flexibility.
