Academy of Art University, a San Francisco art school serving about 13,000 students across 27 departments, needed to modernize its teaching and operations to better prepare graduates for creative careers. Key challenges were providing students with industry-standard software, standardizing tools and course materials to reduce support time and variability, centralizing web and learning content, and speeding up HR paperwork and instructor onboarding.
The university implemented Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise (via an ETLA), Adobe Experience Manager (Sites and Mobile), and Adobe Sign integrated with Workday, giving all students and staff access to current apps, enabling responsive mobile publications and a consolidated web platform with reusable templates and custom components, and automating agreements. As a result, Academy of Art improved learning and creativity with up‑to‑date tools and mobile workflows, achieved more consistent, higher-quality course content and faster content creation, consolidated legacy sites, and saved time on HR processes.
