A Adobe Workfront Case Study
Schneider Electric Australia, working under a Collaboration Service Agreement (CSA) with Sydney Water, faced growing complexity as its portfolio expanded—more projects, stakeholders and compliance requirements. Financial processing was fragmented across three organisations with different accounting systems, so monthly claim files were manually assembled in Excel and stakeholders often waited 8–10 days after period close to see true project costs; tracking labour, expenses and special rates was slow and audits were difficult.
In 2016 Schneider deployed a custom Workfront financial solution, built with Work Management Australia and an API integration, to centralize budgets, labour and material costs. Workfront became the single source of truth with real-time dashboards and custom reporting (MTD/LTD/YTD), cutting financial processing from days to hours (reported from 4 days to 4 hours), improving control, auditability and adjustment workflows, and giving project managers timely, accurate cost visibility.
