L'OCCITANE Group, a global natural cosmetics retailer with five brands and operations in more than 90 countries, struggled with fragmented IT and digital teams using informal tools (email, IM, spreadsheets). The lack of centralized processes made prioritization and impact assessment difficult, led to duplicate projects, and forced extra meetings and rework.
In 2013 L'OCCITANE implemented Workfront to centralize project requests with custom forms and templates, enable real-time collaboration and reporting, and give employees personalized My Work views. The platform improved visibility and prioritization across ~300–400 active projects, reduced planning time, strengthened IT’s partnership with the business, and cut an estimated $250,000 in annual costs by eliminating duplicate work and late-detected impacts.
