IDEX Health & Science, a 550‑employee maker of fluidic subsystems, was running engineering projects across multiple sites using a homegrown PM tool, shared folders and spreadsheets. The manual process ate into engineers’ time (up to 15% chasing updates), delivered poor portfolio visibility, caused projects to be forgotten, and eventually led to frequent spreadsheet crashes and excessive administrative overhead.
