MLB Network retools editing and Post-Production Environment

MLB Network, a 24x7 cable TV network experiencing roughly 20% year-over-year growth in production demand, needed to adopt modern editing and post‑production technologies, integrate its NLE with the DIAMOND asset‑management system, and manage a massive archive (about 500,000 hours / 25 PB). To meet those challenges the broadcaster partnered with vendor Adobe Photoshop, deploying Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise — notably Adobe Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC — to build a foundation for higher-volume, higher-quality output.

Adobe Photoshop helped MLB Network implement a new workflow across high‑performance Cisco UCS editing stations (rolling out 38 now, expanding to 50) and 250 concurrent Premiere Pro licenses, and developed a custom Premiere Pro panel that interfaces directly with DIAMOND. The Adobe Photoshop solution improved consistency and speed—editors can locate, import, and relink low‑res to high‑res assets without leaving Premiere—supporting the network’s 20% growth, streamlining production, and enabling management of hundreds of thousands of hours of content.
