Heidelberg Engineering - Customer Case Study

Heidelberg Engineering, a maker of high‑tech ophthalmic imaging systems, needed a scalable, visually rich training program to educate and support roughly 100,000 eye care professionals worldwide. To create realistic, interactive courses and reach learners on any device, the company adopted Adobe solutions — notably Adobe Captivate for authoring and Adobe Photoshop for visual assets — to replace basic, text‑focused tools.

Using Adobe Captivate together with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat), Heidelberg developed Interactive Video Tutorials that simulate device software, deliver responsive modules for any screen, and combine demonstrations with interactive simulations. The Adobe‑powered approach enabled efficient course creation, produced an eight‑language Glaucoma module downloaded about 4,500 times in the first 16 months, and extended ongoing training reach to the company’s ~100K customers.
