SPAR ICS, the IT arm of the SPAR Group, faced rising competition and the need to deliver country-specific grocery experiences, eliminate digital siloes, and personalize customer journeys across Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, and Croatia. To tackle this, SPAR ICS partnered with Adobe and deployed Adobe Experience Cloud — including Adobe Experience Manager (Assets and Sites), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target — with support from Adobe Consulting.
Adobe built a central digital foundation using AEM for centralized asset management (~500,000 assets) and local Sites, plus Analytics and Target for insights and personalized recommendations, streamlining operations and enabling localized content like recipe portals. The Adobe solution produced measurable impact — a 50% increase in customers at a digitally enabled Vienna store, higher sales, and stronger support for global expansion and continued innovation.
