Heidelberg Engineering - Customer Case Study

Heidelberg Engineering, a maker of high‑tech imaging solutions for ophthalmologists and optometrists, needed a way to train a growing global customer base on complex devices and software. To create visually rich, device‑responsive eLearning and realistic software simulations, Heidelberg turned to Adobe InDesign and other Adobe tools—most importantly Adobe Captivate and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite—to develop scalable, multimedia training.

Using Adobe Captivate together with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (including Adobe InDesign), the Heidelberg Engineering Academy produced Interactive Video Tutorials and responsive modules that simulate interfaces, enable interactive learning across desktop and mobile, and speed course production. The Adobe InDesign/Adobe Captivate solution now supports roughly 100,000 eye‑care professionals worldwide, and the Glaucoma Module Premium Edition was downloaded about 4,500 times in its first 16 months, expanding access to training and reducing reliance on in‑person instruction.
