University College at Azusa Pacific University, which delivers online and adult education, grew rapidly after its 2011 formation and needed a scalable way to onboard a nationwide pool of adjunct professors. With as many as 120 instructors per term, contracts required up to five ordered signatures and had to be processed every eight weeks by a lean HR team of three, creating a bottleneck that threatened timely course delivery and growth plans.
The college deployed Adobe Sign (Adobe Document Cloud) to automate signature workflows, provide real‑time visibility and reminders, and maintain an auditable trail. As a result, more than 100 contracts are processed each term with fewer errors and greater security, multi‑signer agreements can be completed within a week, HR productivity accelerated to support online expansion, and the onboarding process became repeatable and scalable.
