SMRT Corporation, Singapore’s premier multi-modal land transport provider, struggled with a laborious, manual document-approval process across many business lines and mobile executives. Frequent physical trips for signatures, lost documents, restarts after last-minute changes, and difficulty tracking thousands of workflows made approvals slow and inefficient.

SMRT implemented Adobe Sign as part of Adobe Document Cloud, integrated with Ariba Contract Management, to enable electronic, mobile-friendly approvals and real-time tracking. The change cut agreement processing from three weeks to about 16 hours (with some approvals in as little as seven minutes), accelerated turnaround roughly threefold, supported ~300 users handling ~650 documents monthly, and saved more than $100,000 in man-hours in the first year.
