Pepperdine University, a medium-sized institution with about 7,700 students and campuses in the U.S. and abroad, struggled with slow, insecure, and hard-to-track document-signing processes. Dispersed faculty and staff relied on intra-campus mail, scanning, and faxing, which delayed routine forms and put time-sensitive grant deadlines at risk.
To address this, Pepperdine standardized on Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign (Adobe Document Cloud) to automate workflows, enable mobile and global signing, and provide automated tracking and routing. Within four months more than 275 documents averaged a 19-minute turnaround, 90 staff returned ethics agreements in a day, and the university gained faster grant processing, improved collaboration, reduced paper use, and higher productivity.
