Sony Bank, an Internet-only bank in Japan, needed to speed up mortgage loan processing and replace a paper-based contract flow that could take two to three weeks. Using Adobe Document Cloud and Adobe Acrobat Sign, the bank wanted to digitize loan document workflows and integrate them with its Salesforce-based customer management system.
Adobe Document Cloud implemented an end-to-end electronic contract process that let Sony Bank send, sign, and store mortgage contracts online with secure verification and automatic reminders. The result was a dramatic reduction in contract completion time from two to three weeks to about one hour, lower workload and costs, elimination of seals and stamp taxes, and an expected operating cost reduction of 10%, while also helping increase the number of signed mortgage contracts.
