NDR grows audiences with timely programming for television, web, and social media

Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), one of ARD’s regional public broadcasters with 3,500 employees, needed to deliver time-sensitive TV, web and social content faster while keeping production quality high. Its aging Final Cut Pro workflow couldn’t keep up with new codecs, unstable performance, or seamless integration with the broadcaster’s Arvato media asset management (MAM) system, and NDR also needed a way to manage licenses and freelance editors across multiple channels and formats.

NDR moved to Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise—primarily Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC and Acrobat DC—integrated with Arvato via flexible Premiere panels and robust APIs. That centralized access to assets, simplified license management for 350 staff and 100 freelancers, and enabled reusable templates and channel-specific workflows. The result: faster editing and delivery across TV, web and social, lower costs through streamlined collaboration, and measurable audience growth by getting timely coverage out minutes after events.
