A Adobe Connect Case Study

Preview of the FoodSHIELD Case Study

Developers integrate full complement of Adobe solutions, including Adobe ColdFusion and Adobe Connect, into a powerful rich Internet application that helps protect the U.S. food supply

FoodSHIELD is a web-based platform sponsored by the National Center for Food Protection and Defense (DHS) that unites federal, state, and local agencies, universities, and industry to protect the U.S. food supply. The project’s challenge was to replace siloed systems with a secure, scalable portal that supports large volumes of data, rapid interagency communication, evolving requirements, and faster response during contamination incidents and recalls.

EJH & Associates built FoodSHIELD as a rich Internet application using a full Adobe technology stack led by Adobe ColdFusion and integrated Adobe Connect for web meetings and training. The result is a centralized, multi-platform portal that improved secure collaboration and mobile access, shortened recall life cycles, deployed scalable training and communications, increased development productivity threefold, and created a national overview of food-safety activity across all 50 states.
