Department of Defense deploys Adobe Connect Solution to Facilitate Collaboration and Peer Engagement Across Global Operations

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), a Department of Defense combat support agency that provides global net‑centric services to the DoD, needed a secure, reliable way for military personnel to collaborate 24/7 across diverse, low‑bandwidth and classified/unclassified networks and environments worldwide.

DISA deployed Defense Connect Online—a dual Adobe Connect implementation for web meetings and eLearning with integrated XMPP instant messaging and VoIP—hosted across multiple enclaves (NIPRnet/SIPRnet). The single‑port, Flash‑based solution standardized voice and web communications, supported 5.3 million users (about 800 concurrent on average), enabled collaboration in field and low‑bandwidth conditions, met security requirements, and hosted the largest live DoD web meeting to date.
