Voisse is a Surrey-based start-up that lets users record, store, and share voice recordings as audio slideshows and podcasts. Faced with the need to appeal to a broad audience, support multiple capture channels (browser, phone, upload), offer private and public playback, and deliver content online and to mobile devices, Voisse worked with Lightmaker to build the application on the Adobe Flash Platform with Adobe ColdFusion (ColdFusion 9) as the chosen middle‑tier framework.

Lightmaker implemented recording via Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server (Speex/FLV) plus upload and IVR phone capture, a Flash-based editing/slide interface, and a ColdFusion 9 back end to handle transcoding, storage, and Flash Remoting for performance—Adobe ColdFusion helped speed prototyping and cut development costs by 20–30%. The solution delivered three recording channels, enhanced podcast/export options, and a marketplace; in the first months Voisse grew users 20% month over month and accumulated more than 50,000 recordings, 5,000 podcasts, and 1,000 audio slideshows.
