Amkor Technology, a leading provider of contract semiconductor assembly and test services, needed to better protect sensitive intellectual property and enable highly collaborative global workflows while meeting audit and regulatory requirements. To replace insecure, paper-based exchanges and weak audit trails, Amkor turned to Adobe ColdFusion-based solutions, deploying Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES2 and LiveCycle PDF Generator ES2 to add digital rights management and secure PDF generation.

Using Adobe ColdFusion alongside Adobe LiveCycle ES2 modules, Amkor launched a Secure Documents portal that authenticates users, converts files to PDF, and applies DRM controls such as watermarks, expiration dates, password protection, and print restrictions plus detailed audit trails. The Adobe ColdFusion-powered solution now secures document exchange for more than 5,000 internal and external users, reduced costly face‑to‑face handoffs, increased customer confidence and satisfaction, and helped Amkor meet compliance requirements while accelerating collaborative workflows.
