Portland State University faced slow, paper-based administrative workflows across a large campus and the risk of departments adopting disparate e-signature tools, a problem made urgent by COVID-19 remote work needs. The university’s Infrastructure and Cloud Applications team evaluated multiple vendors and selected Adobe Acrobat Sign to centralize e-signatures and standardize processes.
PSU piloted Acrobat Sign, rolled it out campus-wide with training and office hours, and used features like web forms, Workflow Designer and templates to automate complex approvals. The result: rapid adoption (about 50 departments and 500 users), roughly 15,000 transactions to date, faster, more accurate workflows, reduced staff time, improved tracking and scalability, and broader support for the university’s culture of innovation.
