Lookers is a 115‑year‑old UK automotive retailer with more than 140 dealerships and 6,500 employees that faced a major disruption when COVID‑19 closed showrooms and left an 8,000‑vehicle sales backlog. With customers unable to complete purchases in person, the business needed a secure, fully digital, contactless buying experience to move stock and maintain revenue.

Working with Adobe and Microsoft, Lookers launched Click & Drive, embedding Adobe Sign e‑signatures and SharePoint workflows to digitize all paperwork and enable remote purchases. The rollout was completed in six weeks (vs. a projected six months), cleared 8,000 orders within a week, cut the contract process from 17 manual signatures to one digital exchange, and saved the equivalent of 16 million sheets of paper a year while putting the company on track to grow online sales.
