Compensar Gets Aid Into the Hands of Colombians Faster With Fully Digital Workflows Using Adobe Sign

Compensar is a Bogotá-based non‑profit social protection entity (est. 1978) that supports millions of Colombians with subsidies, credit, and welfare services. Faced with heavy paperwork and a sudden surge in need during the COVID‑19 pandemic, the organization needed secure, fully digital workflows so members and staff could sign and process documents from anywhere without in‑person visits.

Compensar implemented Adobe Acrobat Sign, rolling out 70+ use cases in a year (35 quickly deployed for government emergency subsidies) and integrating e‑signing into channels like a WhatsApp chatbot. The result: about 80,000 emergency applications in a month, HR onboarding cut from 8 to 2 hours, complex contracts returned in as little as 28 minutes, major paper and time savings, and broader impact—helping over 12 million people and delivering more than $220 million USD overall, including $28.9 million USD in emergency subsidies.
